Obituary for LaJuana Fay Jenkins

LaJuana Fay Jenkins entered her heavenly home on March 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in Tulsa, OK. LaJuana was born on February 14, 1962, in Muskogee, OK to Marvin “Leo” and Patricia Morrison.

LaJuana attended Muskogee Public Schools and later continued her education at Indian Capital Vocational School where she became an LPN. LaJuana served numerous patients in her 20 years working in home health, nursing homes, and hospitals in the area. She attended Genesis Church in Muskogee and was there as often as she could be until she became too ill to attend.

LaJuana loved her family and friends more than anything, except maybe bowling. You could find her bowling at Muskogee Bowling Center or Fast Lanes in Checotah most days of the week. She loved bowling in leagues and tournaments with her friends and her husband Jerry Jenkins Sr. She and Jerry married on October 11, 2003, and built their life together in Porter, OK.

LaJuana was proceeded in death by her parents Leo Morrison, Patricia and Bob Cason, brothers Marvin and Eldon “Buddy” Morrison, sister Sharlita Morrison, and brother and sister-in-law Bobby and Jackie Jenkins.

She is survived by husband Jerry Jenkins Sr. of Porter, OK. Daughters, Sherri Day of Midland, TX, Christi Wagnon and husband Jesse of Muskogee, OK, Melissa Short of Muskogee, OK, Tammy Jenkins of Tulsa, OK and bonus daughter Bridgette Morrison of Muskogee. Sons, Jason Adelman of St. Louis, MO, Jerry Jenkins Jr and wife Vanessa of Porter, OK, Timmy Jenkins and wife Laura of Depew, OK and Tommy Jenkins of Locust Grove, OK. LaJuana had 24 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren whom she loved very much. She also leaves behind her sister Lynette Haynes and husband Bill of Okay, OK and Vernon Morrison and wife Ann of Okay, OK. Sister-in-laws Julia Morrison of Tulsa, OK, Catherine Reust of Haskell, OK and Ann Franklin of Porter, OK. Numerous nieces and nephews including special niece Sabrina Walker.

Services for LaJuana will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home in Muskogee with Pastor Frank Miller officiating. The family will be accepting visitors for viewing Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 12-8 pm.
